Self-Payment Provisions
Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to make self-payments if you:
are a member of Carpenters’ Local Union 1325, 2103 or 2010, or a member of a Participating Employer,
make your self-payments within the time limits stipulated by the Trustees, and
have not already made the maximum 6 consecutive self-payments allowed.
If you are receiving benefits as a result of total disability from the Canada Pension Plan, the ACAW Pension Plan (includes former Carpenters Local Union 1325 Pension Plan and Carpentry Workers Pension Plan of Alberta), Employment Insurance Sick Benefits, or any equivalent benefits from the Workers’ Compensation Board, please see the self-payment form for further information.
Self-Payment Amount
As of July 1st, 2018, the amount of self-payment required each month is $200.00.
Time Limits to make Self-Payments
With the exception of your first self-payment, all self-payments must be made in advance of the month for which eligibility is required. You will only receive a notice for your first self-payment. You are responsible for ensuring that all remaining self-payments are paid when due.
